Marc Rheinard, Yannic Prümper, Viktor Wilck and Steen Graversen are running these batteries since this year. The team is very happy with the performance and due to a lower weight as other brands the car is in a great balance. With 4 drivers at last Euros using TP batteries in the A Main it showed already the performance!

Marc and Yannic on top at Euros
EFRA Euros 2011, Austria
Marc Rheinard hat es zum zweiten Mal in seiner Laufbahn geschafft: er ist nicht nur Weltmeister, sondern auch noch gleichzeitig Europameister der Klasse Tourenwagen 2011.
Auf der erstklassigen Piste in Traiskirchen stellt er seine Extraklasse wieder einmal unter Beweis und macht den Sack bereits mit 2 gewonnenen ersten A-Finale frühzeitig den Sack zu. Nachdem er alle Trainingssitzungen klar mit seinem Speedpassion gepowerten TAMIYA 417 dominierte, fand er sich Freitagabend auf vorletzter Stelle der Rangliste nach Ausfällen in Vorlauf 1 und 2 wieder. Doch seine bekannte Nervenstärke katapultierte ihn dann Samstag mit drei weiteren Vorläufen auf die Poleposition, die in den Finalläufen zu keinem Zeitpunkt gefährdet war. Mit einem vierten Platz für Jilles Groskamp und einem fünften für Viktor Wilck stellt TAMIYA 3 Chassis in die TopTen, wo nicht weniger als 7 unterschiedliche Chassis vertreten waren. Auch wieder einmal ein neuer Rekord, den meist nur TAMIYA aufstellt.
Ebenfalls ein weiterer großer Erfolg von Yannic Prümper. In seinem zweiten offiziellen Rennen für Thunder Power war er über lange zeit der einzige im Fahrerfeld der mit Marc mithalten konnte. Im ersten Finale kam Yannic mit einem Rückstand von 0,6 Sekunden hinter Marc ins Ziel. Im zweiten Finale war es die ersten drei Runden wieder ein sehr enger Zweikampf zwischen den beiden ToniSport Teamkollegen. Nach 4 Runden hatte Yannic dann ein Reifenproblem und musste sich mehr konzentrieren die anderen Autos hinter sich zu halten. Marc konnte sich damit absetzen und deutlich gewinnen! Das dritte Finale entschied über die weiteren Podiumsplätze indem sich Yannic beeindruckend durchsetzen konnte. Die Entscheidung alte Reifen zu fahren, war nicht die schnellste aber die absolut sicherste und verhalf ihm somit zum Vize Europameistertitel!
Auch absolut erfreulich für uns war das Ergebnis von Marc Fischer. In seinem ersten Rennen mit dem neuen Serpent fuhr er auch ins A Finale. Leider verliefen die Rennen dann etwas unglücklich für ihn, aber er ist endlich wieder zurück!
Marc Rheinard and Yannic Prümper on top at EFRA Euros 2011.
Marc Rheinard is the new EFRA champion 2011. Followed by ToniSport team mate Yannic both showed great racing through the weekend and were on a similar pace also in the mains.
Before last qualifying it was Yannic who was siiting first in grid but then it came to Q5 and Marc showed why he´s the 3 time World Champ. With a win and a fifth as his results he needed to improve to take TQ. He won that round with an almost 3 second lead and really deserved that top spot.
A1 showed a 2 men race of Marc and Yannic. Battling on the beautiful austrian track for 5 minutes it was Marc who won in fornt of Yannic by .6 seconds. It almost felt like a win for Yannic being that close behind Marc.
A2 was similar as Marc and Yannic could go a bit faster then the rest of the field. Yannic´s car was absolutely on pace for the first 4 laps before the rear left tire losed all traction. From that point on it was an easy cruise for Marc to secure the Title.
A3, an awesome final of the top 5 drivers. It was Yannic who took the win but it was really close with top 5 drivers within 1,5 seconds.
Overall a very successful event for our Team and the new stuff that was used!
Marc ran the latest Speed Passion MMM Motor 4,5 T which will be in stock very soon.
Thunder Power was the most used Motor in the Main with Yannic in 2nd, Viktor Wilck in 5th and Steen Graversen 7th.
Also Thunder Power put 4 Batteries in Top Ten and with Marc using it they crowned the first EFRA title!

Prümper joins Thunder Power
Thunder Power RC signs Yannic Prumper of Germany as the newest addition to the racing team.
LAS VEGAS, NV. July 15, 2011 – Known throughout Europe as one of the rising stars of touring car racing, 17 year old Yannic will join 3-time World Champion Marc Rheinard, Viktor Wilck and Thomas Pumpler to represent Team Thunder Power RC. Yannic is a relatively new to the top level racing circuit with a couple years under his belt even this rookie has made all the Pros take notice. Yannic recently raced in the Euro Touring Series (ETS) which finished the sixth round of competition in Andernach, Germany. His skills were well matched to compete among the Pros as Yannic finished in 3rd place overall for both the race event and ETS series points. Yannic finished just behind fellow TPRC team driver Marc Rheinard and his Yokomo team mate Ronald Volker.
